अन्वयः

ततः thereafter, तेषाम् them, नित्यानुगः constant follower, विदितात्मा knowledgeable in spiritual sciences, महामतिः endowed with great intelligence, मृदुः softnatured, दान्तश्च selfcontrolled, शान्तश्च tranquilminded, रामे च in Rama, दृढभक्तिमान् staunchly devoted, सुमन्त्रः Sumantra, तैः नृपसुतैः सार्धम् along with those princes, राघवम् Rama, आश्वास्य having consoled him, आलम्ब्य taking hold of his hand, शिवाम् auspicious, मन्दाकिनीं नदीम् (into) the river Mandakini, अवातारयत् helped their descent.

Then that magnanimous one, having a knowledge of the soul, mild, graceful, capable of controlling his senses, steady in his regard for Rāma, and ever following him, Sumantra, in company with those sons of the auspicious river, Mandakini.

Summary

Thereafter, their constant follower Sumantra who was conversant in spiritual knowledge, a highminded person, softnatured, selfcontrolled, tranquilminded and staunchly devoted to Rama consoled him. Holding the hands of the princes, Sumantra helped their descent into the auspicious river Mandakini for taking bath.
