इति ते राक्षसाः सर्वे रामस्य सदृशान्रणे ।
अन्योन्यकुपिता जघ्नुः सादृश्याद्राघवस्य ते ॥

It is he who is destroying the soldiers riding the elephants, it he who is breaking down the mighty cars, and it is he who with sharp arrows is slaying the cavalry-rider and horse. "Thus saying those Räkşasas, in that conflict and in the very presence of Rāma, highly enraged began to slay each other.

Summary

'Rama is here killing elephants', 'Here is Rama destroying chariot warriors', 'Rama is killing horses, foot soldiers with sharp arrows', saying like that, the Rakshasas were striking one another in the battle. Being there where Rama was, they were mistaking one another for Rama there because of the socalled resemblance and attacking one another.
