अन्वयः

तत: then, राजा king Romapada, प्रहृष्टेन with delight, अन्तरात्मना in the heart, यथान्यायम् as per tradition, सखित्वात् due to friendship, विशेषत: specially, तस्य of that, राज्ञ: king Dasaratha, पूजाम् respectful salutations, चक्रे offered.

Then the king received him respectfully, and with a delighted mind, on account of the friendship he bore him. He communicated to the intelligent son of the saint, the fact of their intimacy, and then the latter paid homage to Dasaratha.
