गवां शतसहस्राणि दश तेभ्यो ददौ नृपः ।
दशकोटिं सुवर्णस्य रजतस्य चतुर्गुणम् ॥

अन्वयः

नरपति: lord of men, नृप: king Dasaratha, वेदपारगै: by scholars who were well learned in vedas, ब्राह्मणै: by brahmins, एवम् in this manner, उक्त: having spoken, तेभ्य: for them, गवां दश शतसहस्राणि ten hundred thousands, सुवर्णस्य gold, शतकोटी: hundred crores, रजतस्य of silver, चतुर्गुणम् four times as much, ददौ bestowed.

Thus addressed by the Brāhmaṇas versed in the Veda, that best of kings bestowed upon them ten lace of kine, and ten Koțis of gold, and forty of silver.

Summary

Lord of men, the king having been thus addressed by brahmins who were wellversed in the Vedas, bestowed on them ten hundred thousand cows, a hundred crore of gold coins and four times as much in silver coins.
