पूजयामास तं देवं पाद्यार्घ्यासनवन्दनैः ।
प्रणम्य विधिवच्चैनं पृष्ट्वानामयमव्ययम् ॥

अन्वयः

तम् एनं देवम् that god, विधिवत् as enjoined by tradition, प्रणम्य bowing with profound reverence, अव्ययम् immutable (Brahma), अनामयं च welfare, पृष्ट्वा having enquired, पाद्यार्घ्यासनवन्दनै: fell at his feet with respectable offerings of reception, a befitting seat, and water for washing feet, पूजयामास worshipped.

And duly bending low in reverence, Vālmīki offered that deity water to wash his feet, and other things for reception.

Summary

Bowing with reverence as enjoined by tradition and having enquired of his well being, Valmiki worshipped the immutable Brahma by falling at his feet and welcoming him with a seat and water to wash his feet with.
