ता: those Krittikas, निश्चिता: regarded within themselves, अयम् this boy, अस्माकम् सर्वासाम् for all of us, पुत्र: son, उत्तमम् great, समयम् an agreement, कृत्वा having made, जातमात्रस्य just then born boy, क्षीरम् breast milk, ददु: gave.

'Surely he shall be son to us all’-concluding thus, they as soon as he was born, by turns began to dispense milk to him.

Summary

Those krittikas, having decided among themselves and having made an agreement with the gods saying 'This boy shall become a son to all of us' fed the newborn with their milk (breast milk).
