अन्वयः

पुत्र O my son, राघव Rama, मम to me, शोकाय to cause sorrow, न जायेथाः यदि if you were not born, अहम् I, अप्रजाः without progeny, अतः more than this, भूयः greater, दुःखम् sorrow, न स्म पश्येयम् would not have seen.

Oh! my son, Oh! Rāghava, had you not been born for my grief I would have been sonless only, but would not have been subject to this greater grief.

Summary

O my son, if you were not born to me, I, even as a woman without progeny, would not have experienced grief, more intense than this.
