अन्वयः

तदा then, जनः people, सराममपि with Rama, मे रथम् my chariot, दृष्ट्वा seeing, तावत् then, विना रामम् without Rama, रथम् chariot, दृष्ट्वा seeing, सा पुरी (people of) that city, विदीर्येतापि will be brokenhearted.

Having then seen my car with Rāma on it, the hearts of the people and the palace will in all likelihood burst when they shall see it without Rāma. Surely the city will be distressed on beholding this empty car, like a host seeing car with its ro slain and the charioteer alone left in the field.

Summary

The people who had seen Rama board the chariot will be brokenhearted to see it without him.
