अन्वयः

अराजके when there is no king, धनम् wealth, नास्ति not, अराजके without a king, भार्यापि even wife, नास्ति is not, अत्याहितम् cause of great peril, अन्यत् another, इदं च this one also exists, अराजके where there no king, सत्यम् truth, कुतः where?

A kingless kingdom possesses no wealth, and wives are hard to keep in such a place. This great fear attends a kingless country. And where is other morality (besides that detailed above) to be found at such a place?

Summary

In a kingdom without a king wealth cannot be preserved, no wife would like to stay (with her husband). There is one more cause for a great peril, that is, there is no place for truth in a country (where there is no king).
