अन्वयः

भृशदुःखितः deeply grieved, धृत व्रत: stern and steadfast in his vows, शत्रुघ्नश्च Satrughna also, तत् those, वचनम् words, आज्ञाय having known (heard), सर्वान् all, अन्तःपुरचरान् those moving in the inner apartment, इति thus, उवाच said.

At Bharata's command Satrughna observing vows waxing exceedingly aggrieved, addressed all the inmates of the inner apartment, saying.
