अन्वयः

प्रहृष्टमुदिता overwhelmed with joy and cheer, सा सेना that army, भ्रातुः brother's, आनयने to bring back, यान्तम् set out, कैकयीसुतम् Kaikeyi's son (Bharata), भ्रातृवत्सलम् to his brother, Rama, भरतम् Bharata, अन्वयात् followed.

All these gradually followed Bharata by means of excellent vehicles. And the army delighted and in high spirits went in the wake of Kaikeyi's son attached to his brother, going to bring back his brother.
