अन्वयः

ततः thereafter, नरव्याघ्रः best among men (Rama), तेन that, मार्गेणैव by the same path itself, नदीतटात् from the river bank, प्रत्युत्तीर्य having ascended, रम्यसानुम् having charming slopes, महीधरम् mountain, आरुरोह climbed.

Then that forernost of men ascending the bank of the stream by the self-same way, got up on the charming side of the hill. And having arrived at the gate of the cottage of leaves, that lord of the earth held both Bharata and Laksmana with his hands.

Summary

Rama, the tiger among men, ascending the riverbank and proceeding on the same path (he had come), climbed the (Chitrakuta) mountain of charming slopes.
