अन्वयः

तात O dear child, दिष्ट्या lucky, जीवसि you are, असौ he, सकलत्रः with a lady, कथञ्चित् some how, गतः went, ते to you, असंशयम् no doubt, स्वस्ति be it safe, इति thus, महर्षयः the great sages, माम् me, अब्रुवन् saying.

And the Maharsis said to me,-By luck it is that Sītā is still living' — he together with a female, having passed by you, certainly augurs good fortune to you. १. The commentator supplies the elipsis thus,-Coming within your ken by fuck, Sītā is living. २. The passage is obscure. The commentator has glossed over this sloka, and the meaning is lone the clear for his explanation.

Summary

'I heard the great sages saying, 'O dear you are lucky to be saved. He has somehow gone from here with that lady (without hurting you). Undoubtedly you are lucky.'
