धर्मापदेशात्त्यजतश्च राज्यां; मां चाप्यरण्यं नयतः पदातिम् ।
नासीद्व्यथा यस्य न भीर्न शोकः; कच्चित्स धैर्यं हृदये करोति ॥

अन्वयः

धर्मापदेशात् for the cause of establishing righteousness, राज्यम् sovereignty, त्यजतः given up, मां चापि including me, पदातिम् on foot, अरण्यम् to the forest, नयतः conducted, यस्य whose, व्यथा agony, नासीत् not shown, भीः fear, न not, शोकः grief, न not, सः he, हृदये at heart, धैर्यम् courage, करोति कच्चित् will sustain I hope.

Summary
