विराजमानं वपुषा गजाश्वरथसंकुलम् ।
लङ्काभरणमित्येव सोऽमन्यत महाकपिः ॥

अन्वयः

वपुषा in appearance, विराजमानम् was present, गजाश्वरथसङ्कुलम् full of elephants, horses and chariots, लङ्काभरणम् इत्येव considered the very jewel of Lanka, सः that, महाकपिःgreat vanara, अमन्यत thought, हनुमान् Hanuman, तत्र there, रावणस्य Ravana's, समीपतः near by, चचार moved

Summary

Hanuman, the great monkey, saw the royal mansion looking brilliant with elephants, horses and chariots. He thought that the palace was the very ornament of Lanka. He moved unnoticed into the close quarters of Ravana.
