अन्वयः

पृच्छते enquired, पित्रे father, तौ both of them, शरबन्धेन from the network of arrows, निश्चेष्टौ stunned, निष्प्रभौ splendour gone, यथा like that, कृतौ did, तस्मै their, यथावृत्तम् all in detail, न्यवेदयत् presented.

And scenting the crown of his head, (Rāvana) with a delighted heart, asked (Indrajit as to all that had taken place). And on being asked, he (Indrajit) truly related to his sire how (Rāma and Lakşmaņa) had been rendered senseless and lack-Lustre by being fastened with shafts.

Summary

Delighted Ravana kissed his son on the forehead and enquired of him of the details. Indrajith presented details saying that both Rama and Lakshmana were stunned in the network of arrows, and lost splendour.
