अन्वयः

अथ and, वज्राशनिसन्निभेन resembling thunderbolt in shining, बाणेन arrows, इन्द्रशत्रुम् weapon of Indra, तरसा sharp, व्यूढसुजातरूपे broad fine looking chest,भुजान्तरे in between the shoulders, भगवान् divine, इन्द्रः Indra, वज्रेण with thunderbolt, मेरुम् इव like the Meru mountain, जघान struck.

Then as the reverend Indra cleave Meru with his thunder-bolt, (Raghava) swiftly smote on Rāvaņa's spacious and shapely chest with a shaft resembling Vajra and the thunderbolt.

Summary

Then with a shining thunderbolt like arrows Rama struck with the weapon of Indra into the fine chest in between the shoulders just as Indra would strike the Meru Mountain with his thunderbolt.
