सौमित्रिरिन्द्रारिसुतस्य तस्य; ससर्ज बाणं युधि वज्रकल्पम् ॥

अन्वयः

सौमित्रिः Saumithri, सुपुङ्खम् golden feathered, यमदूतकल्पम् like the messenger of death, तंशरम् that arrow, चापे shaft, ब्रह्मणःअस्त्रेण by the Brahma's arrow, नियुज्य charged, वज्रकल्पम् like thunderbolt, बाणम् arrow, तस्य its, अन्द्रारिसुतस्य son of Indra's enemy, ससर्ज released.

And inspiring that arrow furnished with a feathered part and resembling an emissary of Yama himself, and fixing the same on his bow, Sumitrā's son in that encounter discharged that shaft like to the thunder-bolt at the son of the enemy of Indra.

Summary

Golden feathered arrow, which resembled thunderbolt, was released on Atikaya, enemy of Indra for whom it was like a messenger of death. It was charged with Brahma's mystic by Saumithri and released on fixing it.
