॥ अथ सुन्दरकाण्डे सप्तपञ्चाशः सर्गः ॥

एतदाख्यानं तत्सर्वं हनूमान्मारुतात्मजः ।
भूयः समुपचक्राम वचनं वक्तुमुत्तरम् ॥

यन्न हन्ति दशग्रीवं स महात्मा दशाननः ।
निमित्तमात्रं रामस्तु वधे तस्य भविष्यति ॥

Summary AI Since that high-souled lady does not herself destroy the ten-headed Rāvaṇa, Rāma will be merely the instrument in his slaying.

M N Dutt And hearing of the friendship between Rāma and Sugrīva she attained to an excess of delight. She is well behaved and devoted to her lord per excellence and blessed is the high-souled and ten-necked demon that she has not destroyed him (yet). And Rama shall become an instrument only in in bringing about his destruction.

५.५७.१७

एवमास्ते महाभागा सीता शोकपरायणा ।
यदत्र प्रतिकर्तव्यं तत्सर्वमुपपाद्यताम् ॥

Summary AI Thus the illustrious Sītā remains overcome with grief. Whatever needs to be done in this matter, let it all be accomplished.
